With the close of the NFL football season, The Anchor was looking to do something amazing for Sundays. We considered quite a few options. When it came down to it though bringing Sunday Brunch at The Anchor back was something we all got excited about!
So, we immediately got started on a new brunch menu that we have been getting great reviews on. Sunday Brunch at the Anchor is always a special time. Why? South Florida offers amazing weather this time of year. With the cool breezes coming up off of the freshwater lakes and canals that surround our little piece of paradise, well, it’s amazing. So, we just wanted to use this month’s blog as an opportunity to re-introduce you to Sunday Brunch at The Anchor!
Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys
Sunday Brunch would not be complete without Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys. We are currently offering them for Sunday Brunch at ONLY $9.95 from 11:30am to 2pm. If you’ve never tried a Mimosa, it’s made with delicious orange juice (oranges are Florida’s State fruit!) and refreshing champagne. This drink is the epitome of Florida luxury. Whereas, the classic Bloody Mary, made with tomato juice, lemon juice, Vodka, salt, pepper, worcestershire and tabasco…it truly is the ‘hair of the dog’. What a great way to start your Sunday afternoon!
Chicken & Waffles
Here in the South we have a lot of favorite dishes, but you can put Chicken and Waffles right up there with Shrimp and Grits. The Anchor Chicken and Waffles starts with light Belgium waffles, cooked to order. Then we add several of our tender, crispy boneless chicken portions, and serve it up with sweet maple syrup and Mike’s HOT Honey. A side of golden hash browns completes the meal…SOOO good!!!
The Anchor French Toast
Just like dad used to cook! Our Signature French Toast includes thick pieces of fresh bread, bathed in a cinnamon infused mixture of eggs and creamy milk, then grilled on the flat-top to golden perfection, and dusted with powdered sugar. The meal is completed with your choice of savory bacon or sausage sourced by our very own Rob and Gabby. Sweet maple syrup and Mike’s HOT Honey make this the perfect choice for brunch.
One of the best ways to wrap up a night on the town (and to kill a hangover) is a great brunch with friends. Our new Breakfast Burrito is quickly becoming a favorite amongst regulars to The Anchor. 2 fresh eggs scrambled with your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage, plenty of your favorite…cheese, all wrapped up nicely in a fresh, warm tortilla and served with hash browns. This is “grab it with both hands” brunching at it’s best!
Traditional 3 Egg Breakfast or Breakfast Sandwich
In addition to all of these great specialty items, we have a traditional 3 egg Breakfast cooked however you like, with your choice of bacon or sausage, hash browns or toast. This is downhome cookin’ the way it’s been done for generations.
The Breakfast Sandwich includes 2 fresh scrambled eggs, your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage, your choice of cheese, and served on a brioche bun and served with hashbrowns.
Now, if you think you’ll still be hungry…The Anchor offers a great selection of ala carte items. From fresh fruit to an English Muffin.
